Lunch, Movies and other things..

My week is coming to an end....and it hasnt been to bad I must say. Uni is getting close to ending for the semester just 6 weeks left to go...! Im really looking forward to next semester doing Kitchen Operations and Food and Beverage Service...I need to start saving my money for my Uniforms....Ive lost my price list of how much chef uniforms are at Uni....I need to ask work where they get theirs from and compare the prices...if theirs is cheaper then I will go through there and just get my jacket from Uni - Im not going for the option of paying a bond for a Jacket to return after a semster sod that as I dont get all my money back I would rather have my own jacket that i can keep and use for if i do decide to go back into Chefing...

I did my oral presentation for my Luxury Accommodation in Auckland...it was fun, though Im not fully happy with it I was totally unprepared for it, and the second hotel I had picked I had little to no info on and ringing them proved pointless as the staff didnt know anything...hence why I love the other place I used...which I am using as my model for the duration of my Diploma...with the goal of working there eventually! However even though I felt like my presentation was crud, my lecturer said I did well with the only down full being to much info in my slides...I still felt my projection of my voice and all was poor - alot of my class mates were giggling and stuff which became a downfall and put off - there for making my confidence go down....and the questions they asked werent the greatest....they ask the same things for everyone...! Im proud of getting my report finished the day before it was due - given i only had a weekend to get my oral prepared in and my report a week in...with my group falling apart for the whole assignment...hopefully i get a good mark - I have been getting good marks on most of my assignments..

I spent Friday on the Shore with my niece - we went into Uni and handed in my assignment, then headed over to my work for Lunch....first we popped into Latin Larder to see Justin...only he was out the back somewhere...so I said I would be back in an hour to get take away hot chocolates....then we went into work and did the whole dinning expereince...ahaha - ive discovered that I dont do well going out to restaurants and stuff...especially ones that are my work places or former work places...I spent the whole time going Ok i know what i want I want to put my order through and make everything myself and stuff...it was fustrating for me and waiting...OMG the waiting for someone to come clear my table and stuff - the whole time I thought my poor customers this must be what they feel like when I have been caught up with other things and forgotten them!! Its changed me in how I deal with my customers...I tried to keep my bill low knowing how much things costs at my work and how easy it is getting it really high from a couple of items....! But with major pushing from my co workers...I had more stuff on my table that i couldnt finish...and had to have boxed up to take away...however taking advantage of my new discount at work - woot woot for the extra 20% discount on top of what I use to get...so I basically paid for my own wages really!

After lunch we went back and saw Justin and had a talk about work and other stuff....it was off to the movies to go see Wall-E. This movie is so awesome - its a love story between and old Robot left on earth to clean it up of the rubbish humans have left....the humans have moved into space in this gaint spaceship....and they send a robot to earth in search of new life so they can return to earth...its really neat! The human have become accustome to robots doing everything for them and turn into this giant ballooned people due to sitting down all day and night being transported by robotic chairs and stuff...and as a result their bones have parted out and stuff....you have to see the movie to understand it all...the lady on the radio before said it was a tear jerker though I dont believe that - yes there is a sad part but it changes to a happy part with in a matter of seconds...

Spent two hours getting home due to a truck and tractor takin out the over bridge - but I did get some pics of Meggie - which when I am done with exams at uni next month i will get back into my scrapbooking...

Saturday was pretty good too - I woke up just after 7am or so and headed off to work for my opening shift...which was fun...i havent done an opening shift at work...I was there before my manager was! We werent overly busy it was good I looked after pretty much the whole restaurant and even did most of my drink orders I put through the bar....and made coffees...I havent a clue how our machine works but I managed to get some made...lol...goes to show that having gone how long with out making any that its not a skill you lose - like carrying three plates at once! I finished work at about 6pm or so....Im proud of my 8 hours shift...better than my adverage shift of 4 hours...woot woot...

And here we are Sunday....and Ive showered and gotten ready for work and am off to one of my co workers where a bunch of us are meeting up to have a BBQ and then Im off to work for the night....

Next week on Friday me and my niece are off to the Shore again for lunch and we are going to Abby with us too...and while Im over there I will find the post office to send my RAKs off now that i have got everything for in them...

I got some happy mail again this week - My fiskars texture plate that I won on Fiskateers arrived...yay!! Im trying to hunt through my emails for the Fiskateer who had that RAK so i can thank them and let them know it has arrived... :D Love getting mail....Im waiting on my ABC GIngerbread Cookie Cutters to arrive in the mail and my Embroided White Corset too...yay!!

** Get Well Soon Laurie "Boo-Boo"...I miss you at work - your always the one to crack the funny jokes and riddles that leave me stumped!! I didnt know you were sick!! I have been away from work for a week and no one tells me these things!! I just over hear....lol Love Your PorkChops....xoxo
