I woke up early in the morning the kids were making alot of noise - I got into some old clothes and ran a warm bath and dragged the dog inside who knew just what was happening and threw a major tantrum when I tried to get her in the bath - it wasnt easy with kids in the way who wouldnt move...but I got Abby into the bath and washed and just after putting shampoo on her coat she lepped out of the bath at the sound of the kids making barking noises and stuff! I had to pick the dog up and put her in the bath with much fight that took abnd got her all washed off and dried and even managed to give her a blow dry lol....that is one puppy who doesnt like baths - now please Rob - tell me was Betsy that bad?? I know Rolly is and Shar Peis just dont like water at all....but surely Hunterways are different...lol I mean come on they are farm dogs...
I got the kids dressed in clean dry clothes and myself also, then piled them all into the car the dog included (hence the bath plus she hasnt had one in MONTHS and was stinky and dirty its so nice seeing white fur come out from under the cream fur lol) and it was off the North Shore - Mikey feel asleep on our way over but woke up when I tried taking him out of the car....
It wasnt as easy as I thought it would be having two kids and a dog out for lunch - Im telling a child to sit and stay on the seat and to make sure the dog didnt go anywhere (who was tied up to the seat this child was on) - Justin and Ellie had a great laugh at Meg with the dog and a big awwww moment over my puppy to which I found her in Meg's lap at the table...
We got ourself a chocolate brownie (sorry no pics of it...) and upon educating the children to not give the dog any as it will kill her (chocolate and nuts not good for dogs s- says me who feed a whole choclate santa to a shar pei so she wouldnt try and attack the painter lol) - lucky I have munchies on hand for the puppy..I went back in and got the kids a toasted sammie - the whole you must share with your brother speech went in one ear and out the other, Mike was in tears when the dog eat his sammie it was gone in a second flat, if you blinked you would have missed it...poor bubba lol..after calming him down we said goodbye to Justin and headed back to the car....stopped by the kitchen window of work and said hello to the chefs - Philipe said THATS A DOG!! (In his French accent) I said "tis my puppy!!" and to which i got oh its your daughter - noooo its my niece!! And and I have my nephew here too - to which I got a you lie that is your daughter she looks just like you...*rolls eyes* and he says is that your mum and my niece didnt answer just cuddled into me..lol
I took some awesome photos of my dog chillaxing in the front seat of the car - which I am going to enter into a compitition runned by my vets.....
On my way home I had a big convo with Rob *waves* which carried on into the night...*huggles*
I then tied myself up from the mess I was in in my bed - and had a big WHER
E ARE MY SHOES!!! moment and ended up settling down for my boots that I never wear and jumped into the car and headed back to the shore to go to work for one of my manager's farewell drinks thingy - I had no money and wasnt planning on drinking or spending any....only to spend the night drinking good old water - however my coworkers and regular customers had different plans - Anita brought me my first drink for the night - my good old organic juice that i have all the time when we get staffies - and after that my drink seemed to always be topped up by either Steve or Terry - THANKS SO MUCH!!! I realllllly appreciate that though you didnt have to - but it goes to show how much of a lasting impression you leave on your regular customers who have been pretty much living there for many years and from the convo we had it sounded like they have worked there before....
Our convos during the night were interesting, there was one about vomit which was grosse as the image of a plate full of puke came to mind that we had to clean up the other month - this whole grosse convo came about because of what had happened a couple of hours before hand
where everyone said I was lucky I wasnt working (and boy was I lucky i wasnt working!! My stomach would have been with that that had been left everywhere in the bathroom - honestly people control your binge drinking and drug intake!) - as we all slowly finished out shifts for the nights some of us stayed behind others went home...
It was a fun night, and I took some shoking photos of my co workers a bit drunk lol - thank god I was sober! We were having a guess who the band was for a song that was playing - Video Killed The Radio Star by the Buggles....I won...and to make sure I was right I went running to the computer to check out Itunes that it was right....
I ended up covering Aaron's shift the next day - which was cool - I havent done a double for ages.....and I should have gone in first thing the next morning since he hadnt turnt up i ended up telling my boss that I would cut uni for the week to cover his shifts if he didnt turn up...but I didnt have to in the end...
We are sooooo short staffed now at work with everyone leaving, and the new people we do have in are slow, half dont understand or speak english fully....let alone are capable of carrying THREE plates and once - a must have skill I believe everyone should have in the hospitality
industry...once it is learnt you never forget it...meals become back looged when your only taking out two plates at once especially when you have large tables coming up with orders.
